The first one on the left is my school of Martial Arts, based in Madison, AL. To continue with Madison, AL, the fourth (on the far right) is my other style of Karate, it is called Isshinryu Karate. I am a Black Belt in that style of Karate and I also teach that style, but if time permits. My Kenpo schedule along with work is very busy, but I am teaching that style to my daughter and other students and while time permits.
The second is our main school (also it is the patch we wear) (click here to go to our headquarters web site) and who we are all affiliated (I have been a member of the AKKA since 1978) with, based in San Diego, CA and it has been in the same building (in San Diego) since 1968 (it may be the oldest school in the Nation, that has been in ONE place all of it's existance). We are currently doing research on that and will soon be writing an article on that milestone. Our Grand Master's name is Richard "Dick" Willett (10th Degree Kenpo Black Belt). Dick is also Chicken's (my first Kenpo instructor) original instructor and Chicken received his Black Belt from Dick. I received my first degree from Chicken and my other degrees from our Grand Master. The current school is in San Diego, CA in El Cajon Blvd, and is operated by my good friend: Master Todd McElhinney, Head Instructor San Diego, 7th Degree Kenpo Black Belt, Blue Belt Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu, Charter Member Kenpo Hall of Fame.
The third (UKF) is the school where I started American Kenpo Karate in 1974, my instructors name is Orned "Chicken" Gabriel, Charter Member Kenpo Hall of Fame, and he was one of the most celebated fighters and Forms Champion of the 70's and 80's. I was honored to have earned my Black Belt from Chicken. We traveled all over the country competing both in team fighting and individual. One of our members in our Karate Fighting Team was my old friend, the Great 10 time World Champion Steve "Nasty" Anderson, who also received his Black Belt from Chicken, we are all from the same school.
The patch, next to the far right. That is the Tracy's Kenpo Karate patch and the style of Kenpo we are from. Tracy's Kenpo is an offshoot from Ed Parker's Kenpo Karate and is one of the oldest and most successful Kenpo chain of schools in the World.
And finally, the patch on the far right. That is the Traid Martial Arts patch where we formally train in BJJ under Chuck Talley.
